A new special roundtable has been added to the conference programme

Details are as follows:

Time: Thursday, 24/Sep/2015, 6:45pm - 8:00pm - Location: Tindari B, Hilton
Title: Speak up as an academic community against walls, killings and bodies washed ashore? An open debate about responsibilities and constraints
Chair: Zlatko Šabič (University of Ljubljana)
Speakers: Gurminder K. Bhambra (University of Warwick), Zeynep Gulsah Capan (Bilkent University), Robbie Shilliam (Queen Mary, University of London), Tiina Marja Vaittinen (University of Tampere)

The purpose of this panel is to open a friendly, transparent, and inclusive discussion about the role of the academic community in political crises. The current asylum seeking situation in Europe, Australia, Turkey, Lebanon, and its absence in countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and other Gulf states is opening venues for discussion.
